Although most hemodialysis are safe, complications in treatment may occur, especially in patients with diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and cerebrovascular diseases. All patients should cooperate with the medical team and follow the doctor's instruction.

Possible Complications

Hypotension, hypertension, chest tightness, chest pain, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, cramps, itching, fever, chills and other symptoms during or after dialysis:

• Arrhythmia, myocardial infarction
• Infection, such as a vascular infection
• Vascular thrombosis
• Hepatitis B and C serological markers turn positive
• Bleeding tendency: such as gastrointestinal bleeding, intracranial bleeding, or other vascular bleeding
• Cerebral apoplexy
• Sudden death
