Postoperative instructions
Patients undergoing outpatient surgery should check out at the cashier counter on the first floor before collecting medicine at the pharmacy.
- Don't apply eye drops or remove the gauze (eye patch) on the day of your operation. The doctor will remove the gauze and examine the wound in person when you return to the clinic.
- Do not wash your face within 7 days; wash your hair at least 4 days later at a beauty salon in a lying-down fashion to avoid infection. For any specific adjustment, please follow the instruction on the day of your operation or the next day follow up by your doctor.
- When returning to the clinic, please bring eyedrops and eye ointments with you. The doctor will teach you how to use them.
- Apply eye drops and eye ointment yourself on ____(mm)_____(dd) at ______(hrs)_______(mins) (AM/PM).
- After injection and air diffusion, please take _______ posture according to the doctor's instructions.
- If ice compression is required, please apply an ice compress immediately, by putting water in plastic bags over the covered gauze, with thin cotton cloth (gauze) put under, for once every 5-15 minutes, with no limit on the number of times. No ice compress is needed during sleeping at night.
- Keep the wound clean and dry at all times. Keep it away from water. If the gauze is wet or contaminated with secretions, replace it with dry gauze immediately.
After returning home
- Take oral medicines according to a strict schedule; if there are other medicines used in combination or discomfort, please inform your doctor.
- Please rest as much as possible that day, do not do physical work, do not eat too hard or irritating food (such as spicy food and stimulants).
