Principles of Diet
- Avoid cold and cool food:
i.e. ice, drinks, pear, pomelo, grapefruit, watermelon, coconut, orange, tomato, wax apple, mung bean, lotus root, cucumber, bitter gourd, loofah, winter gourd, Chinese cabbage, turnip, eggplant, and kelp.
- Avoid roasted, deep-fried, spicy, and simulating food:
i.e. pickled food, coffee, curry, Chinese BBQ sauce, chili.
- Eat less acidic food such as preserved plum, vinegar, and lemon.
- Less salt and eat food lightly seasoned.
- Cook food well and do not eat too much fruit even if the fruit is in season.
- Heat up the food before serving.
- In 7 days after postpartum and if the wound is swelling and aching, do not eat food prepared in sesame oil and wine. Eat shrimp and crab only after the wound has recovered.
- Do not eat ginseng.
