Dr. Cheng Jror-Serk specializes in psychiatric rehabilitation, trauma stress, and depression treatment. In 1990, Dr. Cheng went to the University of British Columbia in Canada for clinical training in community psychiatric rehabilitation and became one of the leaders and advocates of the community rehabilitation model in Taiwan. After the 921 earthquake, Dr. Cheng promoted disaster psychological rehabilitation and suicide prevention in Nantou. He has also been invited as an instructor at the International Trauma Study Course at the Japan Psychological Trauma Research Center for many years. During his tenure as President of the Society of Social and Community Psychiatry, Dr. Cheng led more than ten organizations to establish the "Triple Good Alliance" (Good Name, Good Benefits, Good Life), continuously advocating for the renaming of schizophrenia and a recovery-oriented mental health system.
