Director Jan-Gowth Chang graduated from School of Medicine, Kaohsiung Medical University and after experiences at Taipei Municipal Jen-AI Hospital, Taipei Medical College, Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and visiting Scholar to Yale University for advanced training. In 1999, he became the Director of Department of Medical Laboratory of China medical College Hospital, and then the department was expanded to Department of Laboratory Medicine by him, with “Service, Education, Research” as the 3 main development directions. He left CMUH to KMUH at 2006. He returned to the Hospital at 2012, and is dedicated to the development of precision medicine. He established the center for precision medicine in 2017 and developed clinical applications of precision medicine.

After resuming office, Director Wang has actively promoted domestic and foreign pathology laboratory verification. Guiding the Department of Pathology toward internationalization. He also contributed to the collaboration between Institute of Forensic Medicine, Ministry of Justice and Taichung District Prosecutors Office and establishment of China Medical University Forensic Medicine Centre of the central area.
Doctor Fu-Jen Tsai is the Director of the Hospital’s Department of Research and Genetic Medicine. He is also an Attending Physician of Division of Pediatrics and is a Distinguished professor and Vice Principal of China Medical University. Professor Chien-Yao Hsu went to Baylor University in Houston, USA to study cardiovascular and children's radiology in 1961. He used to be Professor of Radiation Department, Director of Radiology Department of Radiation Department, Chairman of Radiation Medical Association of Taiwan University, and Chairman of the Association of Women Physicians of the Republic of China. Professor is an internationally renowned expert in radiological medicine with deep attainments in cardiac radiography and chest radiology. Currently, Professor Xu serves as a consultant physician in the Department of Radiology, actively teaching radiology diagnostics
Professor Wu-Chung Shen was the Director of the Division of Neuroradiology. After returning to the Hospital in 1995, he dedicated his time to radiology expertise as well as long-term medical teaching. His past experiences include: Director of Taiwan Association of Medical Education, Director of School of Medicine, Dean, President of the College of Medicine, President of College of Health Care. He is the author of “Neuroradiology” that is quite popular among young doctors. Professor Shen enjoys personally teaching medical students on CT and MRI reading. In response to improving technology, he has also started a “Neuroradiology Education Web” that provides young learners with online learning experience.
Doctor Yung-Fang Chen is currently the Director of Radiology and temporapry Director of Invasive Therapy. In 1988, Doctor Chen graduated from China Medical University Hospital and received training at the Hospital. In 1996, he acquired the Specialisst for Radiology, who specializes in the examination and diagnosis of invasive radiology images.
Dr. Kuen-Bao Chen is currently president of the Chinese Bu-Xiong Medical Association, and councilor of Taiwan Society of Anesthesiologists and Taiwan Pain Society. Dr. Chen completed his anesthesia training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou District, in 1991.
He founded the Division of Pain Medicine of China Medical University Hospital in 1994 and served as the first director. He also visited University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to have training of pain medicine in 1997.
Dr. Chen also went to Boston Children's Hospital, Massachusetts, USA to have training of pediatric cardiac anesthesia in 1998. In 2006, Dr. Chen obtained a master's degree from the Institute of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine of China Medical University. Dr. Chen specializes in cardiothoracic anesthesia, pain management and critical care medicine.
