Dr Ke-Wei Chen was selected as a teaching physician in this hospital and specializes in cardiac catheterization for a variety of cardiovascular diseases, particularly coronary artery disease and acute myocardial infarction. From 2017 to Japan's famous cardiovascular center Kokura Memorial Hospital to study, including endovascular ultrasound (IVUS), optical coherence tomography (OCT) and other cardiac catheterization and complex coronary intervention. Intravascular imaging such as IVUS or OCT with angiography can provide more accurate diagnosis of coronary artery disease, understand atherosclerotic plaque characteristics and guide stent selection and placement to reduce complications. In patients with chronic kidney disease, IVUS-guided PCI reduces the amount of developer needed to protect renal function. Dr. Chen is also good at general cardiac ultrasound, interventional esophageal ultrasound and pressure ultrasound to diagnose a variety of heart valve diseases and ischemic heart disease. He is currently involved in various cardiovascular interventions including peripheral vascular therapy, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, left atrial appendage plug placement, and pulmonary embolism catheter thrombolysis.
