Dr. Hon-chung Wong has devoted himself to research and teaching of bioethics and research ethics for many years. His research scope covers bioethics, research ethics, Confucian philosophy, Kantian philosophy, and other fields. He joined the preparations for such large international conferences as the "International Conference on Contemporary Neo-Confucianism," "International Conference on Bioethics," "International Symposium on Ethics of Social Behavior Scientific Research," as well as conducted interdisciplinary and cross-cultural comprehensive studies on “the ethical, legal, and social implications of the human genetic maps.” Furthermore, he participated in large research programs such as the early planning of the Taiwan Biobank and the construction of the research ethics center of the central region. He also delivers lectures on research ethics and other issues at various universities and colleges in central Taiwan, promoting the concept of subject protection and relevant norms.
