Indications
Seizure
Common Side Effects
Somnolence, dizziness, fatigue, and asthenia
Application
Take with food or without food.
  1. Take with food or without food, and or serve with water.
  2. Please use the medication dropper to measure the number of milliliters by the doctor’s prescription.
Precautions
  1. Taking KEPPRA may cause dizziness and fatigue. Please be careful about the risk of falls in daily activities and avoid driving or operating machinery after taking this medication.
  2. Stopping KEPPRA suddenly can cause serious problems such as seizures. Please consult your doctor if there is a need to decrease dosage or discontinue medication.
  3. Unless necessary, pregnant women should not take this medication. If you are pregnant or planning to be pregnant, KEPPRA may not be suitable for you because there is no known if KEPPRA will harm your unborn baby. Please consult your doctor or healthcare provider.
  4. Patients using KEPPRA should not breastfeed their babies.
Preservation
  1. Please store the medication inside the medicine bags at room temperature (under 25℃), dry place and avoid exposure to sunlight.
  2. Do not store in places accessible to children.

Indications
Mood stabilizer, Simple and Complex Absence Seizures
Common Side Effects
Gastrointestinal discomfort (abdominal pain, nausea), hypersomnia Somnolence, dizziness, headache, and mild trembling.
Application
  1. Take after meal. It can take half of tablet and swallow whole.
  2. Please do not crush or chewed the tablet due to the taste is undesirable and it may cause stimulation in the oral cavity, throat and esophagus.

Precautions

  2. Taking this medicine during pregnancy could cause neural tube defects (NTDs) and other structural anomaly. Please inform the doctor if you are pregnant, ready to get pregnant, breastfeeding, or have liver disease.
  3. This medicine may lower the effect of contraceptive pill. Please use other contraceptive method.
  4. Drinking alcoholic beverages is not recommended with Depakine because it may increase the incidence of adverse reactions.
  5. Do not stop Depakine without asking your doctor’s advice. Treatment must be stopped gradually. If you stop Depakine suddenly or before your doctor asks you to, you may have a higher risk of seizures
  6. Application for using graduated cylinder of Depakine solution:
* The scale on the syringe is based on “mg” as the unit. 1ml = 200 mg. Please convert the actual dose from “ml” on your prescription to “mg”.

  1. This product is susceptible to deliquescence. Please store the medication inside a tight container at room temperature (under 25℃), dry place and avoid exposure to sunlight.

Precautions After Returning Home

  1. What should the patient do if he/she forgets to take the medicine?
  • Take the medicine immediately when recall. But if it is close to the next medication time, take the next dosage and do not take double the dosage.
