Artificial skin is a hydrophilic dressing, with hypoallergenic, hydrophilic glue and a clear and transparent outer film. This film is moisture permeable and waterproof and anti-bacterial. It will interact with the exudate of the wound to form a soft, translucent absorber, which can increase the moisturizing and healing ability of the wound.
- Applicable to: Acute wounds: minor abrasions, lacerations, cuts, burns, broken skin.
- Not suitable for: Skin damage affecting muscles, tendons, or bones.
Timing of artificial leather replacement
- There is leakage of exudate.
- The dressing comes off.
- It has been used for 7 days.
Artificial leather replacement method
- First clean the wound and skin surface with saline.
- The skin should be dry before applying artificial leather.
- Choose an appropriate size of artificial skin: choose about 2.5 cm larger than the edge of the wound.
- After peeling off the artificial leather backing paper, minimize the contact between your fingers and the surface of the adhesive.
- The artificial skin is aligned with the center of the wound, please be careful to avoid unnecessary pulling.
- It can be used with ventilation tape or hypoallergenic tape to strengthen the edge fixation.
Precautions
- When replacing the artificial skin, observe whether the wound is infected. Common symptoms include increased wound pain, swelling and redness, odor, and even fever. Once infected, please stop using it immediately and seek the assistance of professional medical staff.
