Emergency department-precautions for overdose patients 急診—用藥過量病人注意事項

2024/12/4
  • At least one person is required to accompany and take care of the patient when returning home to rest.
  • The caregiver needs to wake up the patient every 2 to 4 hours and pay attention to the patient's breathing at all times.
  • The sane person is encouraged to drink more water, about 200 cc per hour.
  • The patient should not go out alone. Do not operate vehicle or dangerous machinery.
  • Store the medicines properly to prevent accidental ingestion. If the patient deliberately takes drugs, family members should pay special attention to prevent similar situations from happening again, and if necessary, ask a psychiatrist for necessary prevention and treatment.

  • Abnormal breathing, such as shortness of breath, sputum sound in breathing, etc.
  • Unconsciousness, such as confusion about people, time and place, or even coma.
