The metered-dose dry-powder inhaler Turbuhaler is completely controlled by the patient's breathing when used. When inhaling hard, the powder enters the lungs via Turbuhaler with the air, so it is important to have enough inhalation flow to achieve the desired inhalation effect through practice.

Use steps

1. Rotate and remove the cap.
2. Hold the device in an upright position, rotate the colored disk on the bottom forward as far as it can go, and then turn it back to the original position. When you hear "click," a dose is prepared to be used.
3. Exhale gently (be careful not to breathe into the device).
4. Firmly close your lips around the mouthpiece and take in a fast, deep breath. Don't bite the mouthpiece hard.
5. Put aside the device and hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds.
6. Gently exhale slowly.
7. If further doses are required, wait 1 to 2 minutes and repeat steps 2 to 6.
8. Wipe the outside of the mouthpiece with a dry cloth to keep it dry.
9. Put the cap back on.

Use precautions

• Because the amount of powder inhaled is very small, it may have no taste after inhaling. If used as directed, be sure that the required dosage has been inhaled.
• If the inhaled drug is steroid, rinse your mouth with water after use.
• Regularly wipe the outside of the mouthpiece with a dry cloth at least once a week. Do not rinse the mouthpiece with water to keep it dry.
• Before inhaling the dose, if more than one dose is mistakenly filled, only one dose will be inhaled. However, the dose index will decrease with the number of times the dose is filled.
• Children younger than 4 years old is not fit for this metered-dose dry-powder inhaler because of their insufficient inspiratory velocity and flow. 

Residual quantity judgment

• The "rustle" produced by shaking the device is from the desiccant, not the medicine.
• The last 10 doses are shown on the red background. When the number zero (“0”) appears in the middle of the dose indicator window, the inhaler should be discarded.
