- One-piece open-ended pouch
(Choose one of the above two items fit for use as a standby)
- Wet tissue or gauze
- Toilet paper or dry gauze
- Measuring caliper or model
- Marker pen
- A pair of scissors
- Bag pouch clip or rubber band
Auxiliaries
- Stoma paste
- Stoma powder
- Skin protective spray film
Cleaning Enterostomy and Skin
- Wipe the skin around the stoma with warm water (wet tissue), do not wipe it vigorously to avoid bleeding from the stoma.
- Do not use irritant cleanser to clean the stoma and surrounding skin, otherwise it will cause skin injury.
- When cleaning, it should be noted that the color of stoma should be pink or red, with a little mucus and moisture. If the color is pale or black, there may be abnormalities in circulation that require medical treatment.
Steps for Use of the Two-piece Bag Pouch
- Measure the size of the stoma with a caliper.
- Use a pen to mark the size of the stoma on the back of the baseplate.
- Cut out the size of the marked stoma as a standby.
- Tear off the paper on the back of the baseplate.
- Align the stoma center and attach the baseplate to the stoma.
- Apply pressure to the baseplate so that each part is attached to the skin.
- Tear the paper off the adhesive.
- Smooth it with your fingers from the inside out and apply it to the skin as far as possible without wrinkling.
- Tear the paper off the adhesive on the other side.
- Hold the bag between the thumb and index finger, and place the middle finger and ring finger under the flange.
- Cross the bottom of the ring on the pouch over the bottom of the flange.
- Start at the bottom of the ring and apply the thumb and forefinger pressure to bind the flange to the pouch.
Methods
- Push outward from the center of the ring on the bag with your thumb, so that the bag and the suitable ring are smoothly combined. In this manner, the pouch is gradually moved to the top of the ring so that the entire pouch is joined to the flange. Check whether the inner ring is completely flat. If not, it means that the bonding is not complete. Please re-operate it in the uneven place according to the above method until it is flat.
- In addition, the thumb and forefinger press each other and fasten the outer ring, during which time you will hear the "click" sound.
Steps for Use of the One-piece Bag Pouch
- Measure the size of the stoma with a calorie first, and then use a pen to mark out the required size on the back of a one-piece artificial anus bag pouch.
- Use a pair of scissors to cut the one-piece artificial anal bag pouch into a one-piece pouch, and then check it. It should not be too large or too small. The most appropriate size is larger than the actual stoma (about 0.3 cm).
- Tear off the backing paper from the back of the one-piece artificial anal pouch.
- Attach the one-piece bag to the stoma, gently press the inside and outside of the bag to make it cling to the skin, and then flatten the other parts.
- Care should be taken when pasting the pouch from bottom to top according to the location of the stoma to avoid wrinkles.
