Thank you for choosing our hospital for invisible braces. Because the patient's cooperation is very important to the success of the treatment, please read the instructions carefully and observe all the directions given.
Usage
- In principle, wear braces 24 hours a day except when you have meals and brush your teeth. Brush your teeth first and then put on the braces after the meal.
- When wearing braces, they must be pressed to the end so as to have a real effect on the teeth. Use the front teeth as much as possible, or buy Chewies. To move the teeth properly, attachments are sometimes stuck to the teeth surface, which are later removed. For any questions, please feel free to discuss them with your dentist.
- There may be some discomfort or even pain at first, which is a normal reaction when the tooth starts to move.
- Because each person's physiology is different and the speed of tooth movement varies, physicians cannot accurately predict the effect of tooth movement, and patients must help determine the progress.
- In principle, every 2 to 4 weeks, the patient can go to the next procedure with numbered invisible braces. However, if the patient feels tight and uncomfortable when wearing the braces, it means that the tooth has not been moved to the preset position, so the next procedure should be stopped. At this point, do not force yourself to adapt to the new ones. You can wear the original braces for 1 to 2 more weeks, and then try the next numbered ones again until you can put it on without excessive pain.
- When using braces, the upper and lower rows of teeth are classified as separate treatment sessions, which do not need to be synchronized. For example, the lower row uses brace no. 5, but the upper brace no. 3.
- If the edge of the invisible braces presses on the gums and causes discomfort, it is suggested that you can use your own small beauty scissors to cut off the edge of the braces that causes pain, and pay attention not to cut the teeth.
- The invisible braces are the results of a high-tech operation using computer simulation of tooth arrangement, but the clinical physiology and computer simulation may not be completely consistent. Consequently, if the tooth cannot move at all (including adhesion, bridges, and implants), the tooth cannot move even with the aid of invisible braces. Further, the accumulation of small errors may lead to large ones. It is recommended that you return to the doctor regularly to check your wearing condition. Where necessary, a dental impression will be taken again, and new dental braces will be made according to the actual tooth movement in the mouth
- To allow physicians to make careful comparison and review the treatment progress and effect, photos may be required during each follow-up visit, please cooperate.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- It is suggested that after each meal, you rinse it with clean water immediately. Before going to bed every night, you can also use a soft-bristle toothbrush or cotton stick to thoroughly clean the place where the scales form, so as to keep the braces clean.
- When eating out, always put the braces in the box if you take them off. Don't put it on the table wrapped in toilet paper to avoid going missing.
- Since every numbered brace is unique, if lost, it will be very troublesome. If the situation is serious, previous steps may have to be redone. Therefore, the unused braces must be kept properly. If they are lost, they must be made again at your own expense. Please pay special attention.
- When you wear the last numbered braces, you can make an appointment for follow-up in advance, and the doctor will do a detailed examination for you.
Additional Notes
- If you want to reduce the number of invisible braces, you can discuss it with your attending physician, who can adjust the preset amount of movement according to the situation.
- Invisible braces have their indications, mainly for "more teeth straightening and less bone adjustment." Therefore, for more difficult or complex cases, it may not be possible to complete treatment with invisible braces alone. Some special constitution or patients not cooperating with the use may lead to ineffective treatment. At this point, it is suggested that you discuss with your doctor, and if necessary use conventional dental braces to complete the subsequent course of treatment. We apologies for any inconvenience caused.
- After teeth straightening treatment with invisible braces is finished, a maintainer must be used. Please communicate with your attending physician about the use and design of the maintainer.
