- Please bite the gauze for half an hour, swallow the blood and water, do not spit it out, to prevent loose gauze and wound bleeding.
- Remove the gauze after half an hour. If the wound slightly oozes blood, it is a normal phenomenon, and there is no need to panic.
- Take painkillers immediately after the gauze is taken out. Eat carefully before the anesthesia subsides to avoid biting your lips and tongue.
- Do not eat food that is too hot, too hard or stimulating within 7 days after the operation. It is advisable to eat warm and cool liquid or soft food (milk, cold porridge, cake, ice cream), but do not use a straw.
- Rinse your mouth gently after eating to clean the wound and prevent inflammation. When brushing your teeth, please avoid touching the wound. Do not rinse your mouth or spit water out forcefully.
- The swelling and pain are obvious within 2 days after the operation. Apply intermittently a compress (20 minutes for ice compress, 20 minutes for rest) with ice cubes to the operation site to ease the pain and swelling.
- Check the wound and remove the stitches one week after the operation.
