Navigating the Future of Cutting-Edge Healthcare – AI initiates digital health
Currently, artificial intelligence is widely used in the medical field. The real-time and accurate characteristics can reduce risks and improve efficiency. AI can combine with a wide range of areas, from image recognition and surgical operation to drug and therapy development, to significantly improve medical care quality. The real-time and accurate characteristics can reduce risks and improve efficiency.
Our hospital focuses on four major clinical applications of artificial intelligence: AI medical data interpretation, intelligent management of medical affairs, disease prediction, and AI precision medicine. Based on this, we will build a smart hospital that combines prevention, precision, and long-term care.
Dean Der-Yang Cho has said: "To have a sense of trust, the doctor must “look at” the patient, explain and interact with the patient. If the doctor keeps staring at the computer data, the patient will feel that the doctor is indifferent, which is a common problem in many hospitals. A large part of seeing a doctor is based on trust in the doctor." In order to let physicians to spare more time caring for patients, AI is a useful tool in the new generation of medical services. Our hospital established the "AI Clinic" in March 2019, with eight departments, including cardiology, nephrology, thoracic, breast surgery, pediatrics, ophthalmology, precision medicine, and health examination center as pioneers, and continues to promote AI projects for in-hospital medical care, which brings medical treatment into the era of medical intelligence 4.0.
