Currently, Dr. Kuan-Cheng Chang is serving as the Director of Cardiovascular Medicine and a Professor of Medicine at the esteemed China Medical University Hospital in Taichung, Taiwan. Throughout his illustrious career, he has successfully performed over 2,500 interventional procedures aimed at treating an array of conditions, from various arrhythmias to heart failure. These procedures have not only solidified his standing in the field but also contributed to improved patient outcomes. Moreover, Dr. Chang is a prolific contributor to the scientific community. He has published more than 150 scientific research papers, the majority of which are housed in high-ranking journals. These include PNAS, JACC imaging, Heart, Mayo Clinic Proceedings, Canadian Journal of Cardiology, International Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, Journal of American Heart association, Scientific Reports, Aging Cell, and Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology. In recent times, Dr. Chang has devoted himself to the treatment of complex arrhythmias using an innovative technique known as high-density 3D mapping. His aim with this technique is to offer state-of-the-art management for patients with arrhythmias, advancing the standard of care in this critical area of medicine.

Dr. Su-Peng Yeh served as the Secretary-General of the Taiwanese Society of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and has been an Executive Director of the Society since 2010. He is currently the Vice Superintendent of the Department of Internal Medicine at our hospital. Dr. Yeh specializes in hematopoietic stem cell (bone marrow) transplantation, with over 100 successful transplant cases under his belt. He is also proficient in various cancer chemotherapies and transfusion medicine. In 2006, Dr. Yeh spent a year at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States, focusing his research on gene therapy for breast cancer. Furthermore, Dr. Yeh actively participates in numerous clinical trials for hematologic malignancies and rare blood disorders. He is a key member of the Steering Committee for several of these trials and is the physician with the most extensive experience in CAR-T cell therapy at our hospital.

Chang-Fang Chiu, M.D., Ph.D., is currently the Director of the Cancer Center at China Medical University Hospital. He completed his training at the renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA. Dr. Chiu possesses extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of various malignant tumors and hematological diseases. He established a patient-centered, multidisciplinary team approach to care, which is applied to over twenty major cancer types. He also built a comprehensive hematopoietic stem cell transplantation care system, dedicated to providing patients with high-quality medical care.

Doctor Chen has travelled abroad many times to countries like the USA to received clinical training and is one of the Hospital’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He has spend a significant part of his time in treating Maxillofacial Jaw function abnormality – “Orthognathic surgery”, with outstanding performance being the basis of central Taiwan. In the recent years, he has led the use of Orthognathic surgery to treat “obstructive sleep apnea syndrome” patients. In 1998, he introduced auto “ tibial cancellous bone grafting” and “ J-bone block Iliac bone” to reconstruct top/bottom palatine, alveolar bone damage to allow for “Dental Implant” treatment , treating countells patients with serious orthodontic defects.
Yi-Yu Tsai

Professor Yi Yu Tsai is a doctorate in Medicine, who specializes in: Cataract surgery, diagnosis and treatment of cornea diseases and cornea transplant. In 2009, Professor Tsai was the first to introduce corneal endothelial cells transplant, which successfully cured the torment of his patient. Professor Tsai has a remarkable record in treating patients with cornea related diseases. He has been working at the Hospital since 1998 and has abundance of clinical experience. Actively undergoing clinical and base medicine research, Professor Yi Yu Tsai has published a great number of medical papers for international journals.

Doctor Wu-Chou Lin is an authority voice in different types of endoscope and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, with outstanding performance in treatment of gynecology cancer and pelvis reconstruction. Doctor Lin past experiences include President of Taiwan Association for Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Minimally invasive surgery for gynecology cancer was previously thought to be impossible but with breakthroughs in technology (especially in entometrium cancer procedures) endoscopic procedures have been proven to be just as affective as traditional operating procedures. In addition, Da Vinci System was implemented for minimally invasive procedures for higher accuracy.
Woei-Cheang Shyu

Professor Woei-Cheang Shyu is the Vice President of China Medical University Hospital and an attending physician in the Neurology Department. He has long been dedicated to research in neuroimmunology, stem cells, exosomes, and basic neurology. He is one of the few neurologists with a strong foundation in basic neuroscience research. His work in translating stem cell research into clinical treatment is unparalleled globally and has significantly benefited patients. With his support, there are currently Phase I clinical research projects underway in the Neurology Department for subacute ischemic stroke and multiple sclerosis, making him a key driver of innovation and breakthroughs in neurology.
Wu-Chung Shen

Professor Wu-Chung Shen was the Director of the Division of Neuroradiology. After returning to the Hospital in 1995, he dedicated his time to radiology expertise as well as long-term medical teaching. His past experiences include: Director of Taiwan Association of Medical Education, Director of School of Medicine, Dean, President of the College of Medicine, President of College of Health Care. He is the author of “Neuroradiology” that is quite popular among young doctors. Professor Shen enjoys personally teaching medical students on CT and MRI reading. In response to improving technology, he has also started a “Neuroradiology Education Web” that provides young learners with online learning experience.
