Der-Yang Cho

Superintendent
Dr. Cho has served as a pediatric neurosurgery researcher at the University of California, San Francisco. He is known for his kindness and humility and was named one of the top 100 doctors. He specializes in all types of neurosurgery, especially brain tumors, immune treatments, and exosome research, and is a leading figure in Chinese neurosurgery.

Ming-You Shie

Deputy Director
Dr. Ming-You Shie’s research encompasses biomedical engineering, regenerative medicine, and translational medicine. In recent years, he has focused on integrating biomaterials, biofabrication, and engineered biological nanocarriers to develop therapeutic platforms with strong clinical potential for tissue repair, cancer, chronic diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders. Over the past five years, his achievements have included multiple patents and technology translation projects. He has also received several prestigious honors, including recognition among the World’s Top 2% Scientists, The National Innovation Award, and The Future Tech Award several times.

Yen-Hong Lin

Assistant Research Fellow
Dr. Yen-Hong Lin has an interdisciplinary background in computer science and biomedical engineering. His research focuses on 3D-printed biomedical materials, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and engineered extracellular vesicles. In recent years, he has developed strategies to enhance extracellular vesicle production and biological functions and explored their applications in bone regeneration, chronic wound healing, nerve repair, and the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

Min-Hua YU

Research Assistant
Research Assistant Min-Hua Yu is deeply engaged in the fields of translational and regenerative medicine, characterized by an approachable demeanor and a rigorous, responsible work ethic. Her experimental expertise is extensive; she is highly proficient in molecular biology techniques such as CRISPR and flow cytometry, and possesses rich experience in exosome production and drug loading. Furthermore, she is well-versed in various in vivo animal studies and xenotransplantation, capable of expertly executing complex procedures including the establishment of orthotopic cancer models, biodistribution assays, and porcine nuclear transfer. With her steady execution and solid practical experience, she effectively drives experimental progress, making her a highly reliable partner in advancing new drug development projects and maintaining daily laboratory operations.

Yu-Ying Liu

Research Assistant
I hold a master’s degree in a life science-related field, with research focusing on metabolic regulation and mechanisms in acute pancreatitis. During my academic training, I gained hands-on experience in animal models, cell-based experiments, and clinical sample analysis, along with skills in integrating transcriptomic and metabolomic data. Through comprehensive research training, I have developed strong capabilities in experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving. I am eager to apply my expertise in the biotechnology industry.

HUANG, YU-XUAN

Research Assistant
Possesses diverse professional experience in biotechnology development, experimental analysis, and medical device quality management. Previous responsibilities included bioink process development, biochemical validation and report preparation for blood glucose monitoring systems, establishment and maintenance of ISO 13485-compliant quality management systems, instrument calibration management, and internal and external audit activities.
